Someone finally told the truth. The Bears knew offensive tackle Chris Williams had a herniated disc in his lower back when they drafted him with the 14th pick in the first round in April. Everyone knew and that's why the worst kept secret going -- that Williams did not have a pre-existing back condition -- was debunked by scouts who spoke to the Sun-Times the day after he had surgery to correct the problem on Aug. 6.
